Brief History of Las Vegas florist Richard Urban:
I grew up in a huge flower nursery called Summit Gardens.
I bought my 1st flower shop at 25 yrs. old called Peninsula Florist and built a second one 5 years later. I won 1st place in the Tri-State Floral Competition in Pennsylvania in three categories (novelty, one-of-a kind and holiday).
After 17 years I move to the West , opened the Bellagio Resort and made the stage arrangements for Andrea Bocelli's New Year's Eve Concert. As Operation Designer, I did the Conservatory, lobby, wedding chapel and all the restaurant's fresh floral designs for Bellagio, Mirage, Treasure Island and Golden Nugget Hotels. I competed in the FTD 2000 Las Vegas Convention and won 1st Place in that competition.
Then, I became a Concierge for two 5 Diamond 5 Star resorts learning all of Las Vegas.
Now, I freelance my services and make fresh flower designs for weddings, parties, anniversaries, banquets, special occasions and corporate events. Being a Las Vegas wedding florist is not just my job, it is my passion!
We do beautiful and exotic flower arrangements in fresh and artificial designs. We also offer gourmet baskets for special occasion.
It's a long life of flower history.
